Persuasive Writing

This lesson will incorporate one of the many different writing tasks emphasized in the fifth grade ELA curriculum. It is important that students are able to express their opinions/point of view in an appropriate format. The students had to choose whether the town council should build a mall or a park in their town after examining both sides of the issue. The students’ final drafts were completed using Microsoft Publisher.
