Middle School Resource
This website bills itself as a “pass-portal” and is a companion website for the eight-part, PBS-aired video series Passport to Antarctica. The videos explore various aspects of life in the coldest and most remote place on Earth, from the perspective of researchers and scientists who call the ice-covered continent home.
The site introduces the visitor to the various multi-media tools for exploring this mysterious and wonderful place. It has sections for students, parents, and teachers. Links to other sites and information to supplement Passport’s content make this a highly engaging and useful site, appropriate for all ages.
