Groundhog Day

In this lesson plan, students will learn about Groundhog Day, what happens if the groundhog sees his shadow or if he doesn’t see his shadow and create a tally chart to predict whether or not he will see his shadow.

Groundhog Log Project

In this unit, students will:

  • make an effort to participate in a variety of physical activities, including outdoor winter activities.
  • keep an electronic record of their daily physical activity/exercise time for the 3-week period.
  • calculate daily and weekly the minutes they are physically active.
