Climate, Weather And The Classroom

With the change of season almost upon us, it’s the perfect time to use this week’s Featured Content. NYLearns team member Ashley Way has chosen three great resources for your science lessons on climate and weather.

  • Elementary Pick: Fall Into Learning
    This five-day unit will help kindergarten and other elementary students gain a better understanding of the seasons, particularly autumn.
  • Intermediate Pick: Weather Scope: An Investigative Study of Weather and Climate
    In this lesson, students will use data investigations and hands-on activities to understand the basic weather conditions including temperature, wind, and precipitation and their effects on local and world weather over a period of time.
  • Commencement Pick: Weather Analysis – Lab Activity
    Students will use weather patterns of past and current conditions to predict future weather and make a forecast.
